Or, What You Probably Saw Coming Given the Amazingly Thorough Lack of Posts This Month
I’m not the type of person who likes to cut myself a break. Somebody wants to walk over me — fine! No problem! Let me lend you my shoes! But if it’s me who needs some slack, forget it. I’m one slave-driving S.O.B. Suffer in silence, woman. And for the love of God don’t post about it!
But things have gotten rather crazy of late, with the second job and plans to move this weekend and various/sundry things. In other words, life has knocked at my door, and for once I’m answering instead of turning off all the lights, hiding in the back bedroom and pretending not to be home. I’d love to be able to say I’m one of those people with a bottomless reserve of energy who can do 800 things during Work Time and stay up until midnight posting daily reviews during Off Time. It is not to be (at least, not right now). So M. Carter @ the Movies needs to take a few weeks of total hiatus (as much as I can stand), maybe until December, to get the dwelling place settled and get myself in order. And I’m trying weary, weary hard* not to feel guilty about it.
Which means this epistle is kind of one colossal setback, no?
