Losing a father can be very difficult. I lost mine when I was twelve. It was the first time I remember going to a funeral. It was surreal. I was numb. Even though my father and I didn’t have the best relationship, I remember those scant father/son adventures that we had.

M, you had your father for those 20 months. Cherish those moments you have with him. He will always be with you in spirit.

My mother passed away from cancer when I was very young, and it’s a challenging event to get through. Hopefully watching and reviewing films will bring back fond memories of the times you shared with your dad, giving writing an entirely new strength.
